Bandai Namco is yet to even put a Nintendo Switch port on the drawing board. He put the situation out honestly so as not to mislead fans. Now that the second season is here, it’s hard to take time out to work on the Nintendo Switch version. Okubo noted that he personally wasn’t sure if the game would be getting a second season. Okubo replied that development of the port can only begin after the developer gets to “examine” feasibility and the truth is that everyone behind Soulcalibur 6 are extremely busy at present. Speaking with Kayane at EVO Japan 2020 in a recent interview, game director Yoshinori Takahashi and producer Motohiro Okubo were asked when Soulcalibur 6 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. It turns out that the situation at Bandai Namco remains the same even today. Back then, the developer clarified that handling the launch was the prime focus and an opportunity may present itself down the road to start work on the hybrid console. Even before Soulcalibur 6 was released in October 2018, there were reports that Bandai Namco had decided to put the Nintendo Switch port on hold.
